Northern Harvest Website

Web Design · Northern Harvest

Context

Northern Harvest is a Humboldt County cannabis house, est. 1997, built on indoor flower and farmed by the same family for three decades. In a category that brands itself loud, the house had real heritage and no visual language to carry it: closer in spirit to a heritage spirits label than to anything else in the case.

Role

The brand existed on board and in ink with no digital home. Sites in the category bury the product under menus, badges, and age-gate clutter, the opposite of everything the packaging promises. The job was to design and build a site that behaves like the box.

Case Study

Translated the packaging system to screen: navy field, white serif, one hero per panel, nothing competing with the product. Rebuilt the type scale for screen rather than copying print sizes, keeping the hierarchy the box teaches. Designed and built directly in code, direction through deployment, so there was no mockup phase, no handoff, and no translation loss between the design and the shipped site.

Notes

Single hero per panel, restraint over density. Type scale rebuilt for screen, hierarchy inherited from the box. Photography given room the dispensary shelf never allows. Designed in the browser, shipped without a handoff step.
